We went to Mimosa on a Saturday morning. Put our name on the wait list and were able to get seated when we arrived. There were 4 of us and everyone was pleased with their meals. The buttermilk pancakes were some of the best I have had. I had a veggie cheese omelette, very good and very big. I took almost half of it home for breakfast the next day. We did not have mimosas. Would love to try one the next time. Service was excellent.
Mimosa is Wisconsin's Greek Goddess for Brunch! I love this place! So many options and delicious food, also very nice selection of healthier alternatives also available!!!
This place slaps. We were able to be seated immediately, the service was attentive, the coffee was strong, the pancakes were well made, and the main dishes were solid and creative. I would definitely stop here again.
Actually 5 star reviews are few and far between. But the proof is in the quality of the food, service and bright clean welcoming atmosphere at this establishment. Staff is warm welcoming and inviting. Service is fast and friendly. Food quality first rate served hot and fast. It is probably one of the best examples and experiences of what a properly run establishment is like. It also sets a standard that its competitors need to meet, follow, and maintain. Then to top it off it is priced right for QSCV Quality,Service,Cleanliness, Value That is exchanged for your dollar.
We stopped here after picking up family from the airport. There were five of us and we were seated immediately. Everyone enjoyed their food. I regret not getting any pictures of the food. I loved the Chunky Corned Beef Hash & Eggs. The service was fantastic!
**updated 12/2023 with more food** This place is hopping on a weekend brunch time! We had reservations but still had to wait 20 minutes past our reservation time to get seated. A little better planning would be appreciated, but it was totally understandable given how busy they were. Our server, Sarah, made up for any misdemeanors. She was happy, pleasant, efficient, prompt, and just so friendly! made us all feel good and well taken care of and appreciated, despite the longer wait time on the food and seating. Pollo Picante Omelette This was refreshingly better than I had thought it would be. It wasn't as "Mexican" as I thought it would be. The cheese omelette was soft and fluffy, and it was topped off with sauced up sassy chicken. Pulled chicken. It wasn't dry, and made my tastebuds happy! I liked it better than the 3-meat version, which is heavier. This one was light and fluffy! Shrimp Omelette Huge pieces of shrimp inside, a beautiful omelette almost like a blanket cover with avocado slices on top. Pretty presentation. Three Meat Omelette Quite yummy, but pretty heavy. I wish there was an option to add a bit of kale or spinach (or some kinda veggie) to add a little layer to the taste. Chicken and waffles Of all our orders, the most meh of the bunch. Waffles looked dry, and chicken was mediocre. Plus it was chicken breast, not chicken thigh (it says so on the menu). Gotta say, it was definitely a less heart-clogging option than the southern version, with caramelized waffles topped with fried chicken thighs smothered in sausage gravy. But not as tasty. French toast Gorgeous presentation, with cream and berries and powdered sugar. Friend who had it told me it wasn't as tasty as it looked. She was happy she was sharing with the shrimp omelette. Chicken Souvla bowl with chicken and veggies, topped with yogurt sauce, then topped again with eggs your way. Friend said it was good. Didn't try... but I'm not sure. They also have great mimosas... duh. We didn't get any at this visit since we had some religious activity afterwards, but I've had it before and will have it again!
Second time at Mimosa and loved it even more this time around. I got the Crispy Chicken and Ham sandwich with no cheese or yogurt sauce on gluten free bread. It was delicious. Love their fries. They don't have a strictly gluten free fryer for the fries, but I had no problems enjoying them. If you're very sensitive it's not recommended and the waitress was fantastic and warned me. Service was great and I feel good about recommending others to go here that have to eat a speciality diet.
I chose this place because of their clean ingredients. It's not often that you can find places that only cook with olive oil. My steak and eggs and potatoes were absolutely delicious and I felt confident eating them knowing I was on a whole30. All of my friends who were at brunch with me also very much enjoyed their brunch. Our waiter was nice, and he explained that the odd carpet like looking ceiling helps absorb the sound, and keeps the restaurant quieter than it was before they added that feature.
Food: 5+ Service: 5+ (Kadhija) Ambiance: 5+ Join the waitlist via their website. That was so convenient and easy. We were seated immediately upon arrival. That was for Sunday brunch. This place is a warm hug in the form of a restaurant. Stop scrolling in search for a brunch spot. You have found IT!! This is in Franklin, a ten-minute drive from Downtown Milwaukee but it has charm, great service, great parking, and even greater food. This is a place that, upon walking in, you feel at home. It has a quaint motif that reminds you of country home curated by mom or grandma. It has cute booths that give a sense of privacy like your own little nook. The place was clean and well cared for. That care is given to the food and the guests as well. The waitress suggested I try the seasonal Pumpkin Spice French Toast. That was a perfect suggestion. The bread was so soft, fresh, tasty and has the right amount of brown sugar crumbles. I can't really say much more of this since the they were absolutely delicious. I will need to come back and try the Churro French Toast that is always on the menu. The pollo picante omelette (spicy shredded chicken) was very flavorful and has the right amount of spice. The eggs were so fluffy. Almost melt in your mouth. The three meat omelette was equally delicious. The home potatoes were perfectly seasoned and perfectly fried - the right amount of spice, crunch, skin, and tenderness. Pancakes and eggs - great! The Wisconsin maple syrup - amazing on the pancakes and French Toast. Until we meet again, Mimosas. I'll miss you.
I think this is the best brunch spot in Oak Creek/Franklin area. We have been multiple times and not a single time were we disappointed by the food. I pick the food randomly now when i come in and it still is perfect. The servers are busy but they really try to take care of each single table. The atmosphere is very easy and simple and really that's all what is needed for brunch. They do get super busy on Sundays so put your name on the list early or you might not get in that day.
